The 3rd Line Infantry of Mexico fought at Monterrey, Angostura, and was destroyed at Cerro Gordo. Their uniform consisted of dark blue coat and trousers, with red facings, turnbacks, and plasteron. They wore a conical stovepipe shako with a red ball plume.
